Sometimes the best journeys are the ones you don’t plan. Our cancelled flight to Leh turned into a blessing in disguise, thanks to Kordor from mega.travelz, who singlehandedly transformed our disappointment into one of the most memorable vacations we have had.
The moment we landed in Guwahati, Kordor’s calm presence and meticulous planning set the tone. From arranging comfortable and interesting stays to mapping an itinerary that felt both adventurous and deeply rooted in local culture, he crafted every step with care.
What stood out was the way he balanced exploration with comfort. We stopped at Khweng village for a simple yet soul-satisfying Khasi meal, complete with refreshing rosella juice, before moving on to Shillong. The days that followed felt like chapters in a story: treks through waterfalls in Syntung, the surreal off-road adventure to Khaddum where we witnessed the magic of Kremchympe waterfall and cave. This was the highlight of our trip. However, what followed were also unique experiences in their own right. Over the course of 9 days, we took spiritual pauses at Nartiang monoliths, and spent profoundly quiet forest nights in Mawlyngbna under a star-lit sky.
Kordor doesn’t just drive you from point to point. He also introduces you to the heartbeat of Meghalaya. He knows which homestays feel like home, yet give you the raw experience of living in the mountains (Spread Eagle, Gorge View, Serenity Inn), which cafés will warm you after a long drive (Cafe Cherrapunji, Shillong Café), and which detours are worth the effort (like Markham Valley or the hidden living root bridge at Siej). Even when the weather blocked Laitlum Canyon on our first attempt, he improvised seamlessly, ensuring that not a single day felt wasted.
What impressed us most was how he understood our travel rhythm, when we wanted to dive into adventure, when we needed to rest, when all we craved was to soak in the local life, and when our little one was craving for her comfort food. His patience, knowledge of the region, and ability to adapt made the journey feel effortless for us, though we could see the careful work behind it all.
In addition to his careful planning, he also helped our little girl in overcoming her fears during our adventures. We were surprised to see how she was able to complete and enjoy the very treks and hikes which she was feeling fearful of. That ability to win over fear is one of the most precious gifts a child can get.
By the time we left Meghalaya, we weren’t just grateful for the landscapes and experiences, but we were also grateful for Kordor, who turned an unplanned trip into an unforgettable story. A big thanks to our tour guide & host, Kordor, who was punctual, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about the local culture and spots. We had an amazing 4-day tour covering Shillong and Cherrapunji, and it was one of the most memorable trips we’ve had in the Northeast. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey and helped us explore hidden gems that most tourists miss. The itinerary was well-planned, and everything was smooth from start to finish. The trip was organized very well.. We had a great time...We visited lots of places including water falls, caves and water sport activities. It's amazing to be in Meghalaya...we thoroughly enjoyed the journey....

We were in Meghalaya for 4 days. From picking us from Guwahati airport till the drop, Kordor was extremely helpful. While we had booked a cab only, he not only took us to different places but helped us in planning our trip so that we could make the most out of it. Considering we had our parents with us, he suggested places where they could also go comfortably and enjoy. We really enjoyed the trip and big thanks to Kordor for the same.

Our 10 day trip to Meghalaya was one of the best ever!!! It was a unique and exhilarating experience!!! Kordor Mawlong our driver-cum-guide-cum-photographer was the pefect company.He was a well informed guide,a very skillful driver,an ace photographer and above all a very warm friendly and helpful person.And he planned our 10 day itinerary perfectly as per our requirements! Kordor was simply amazing. He’s kind, a pleasure to talk to, drives very safely and knows so much about the beautiful Meghalaya. His suggestions on which sights to avoid and which to see surely were the highlight of our trip. He also respects you as a person and ensures he never crosses the line of becoming too friendly.

We had a 8N/9D trip to Meghalaya and I am so grateful that we ended up having Kordor as our tour guide for the trip after having checked many other options. From our very first interaction over a phone call, he came across as decent and well behaved and after we met him and travelled with him, he managed to exceed all our expectations. He went out of his ways to ensure we had the best time and experience in Meghalaya. We told him that we want to go to less explored places and he made sure each day was beautiful and full of adventure for our group. Each time we thought we had experienced our best moment of Meghalaya, another place we went gave the same feeling all over again. I would highly highly recommend Kordor as your guide. He is the most beautiful person, very well behaved, super caring for kids, not at all money-minded and makes you feel like you are travelling with a family member. Whenever we plan our next trip to Meghalaya or North-East, we will definitely go with Kordor and will also ask him to choose places for stay which we didn't do this time as we already had done the bookings by the time we met him.

Kordor was very helpful and made my first trip to Meghalaya memorable. He not just helped us visit some of the lesser known spots but also guided us at those spots and hiked with us. Also, the vehicle was comfortable and clean.Definitely recommend Kordor and Megatravelz when visiting NE.

We recently had a Meghalaya Tour planned by Megatravelz, which was a splendid experience for us. I would like to thank Mr. Kordor, who organised this amazing trip for us. He planned so much fun activities for us to do there. He introduced us to local Meghalaya culture and made our experience very authentic. The service was amazing, Mr.Kordor was very friendly, humble and helpful throughout our entire trip.

We had our tour planned with mr KorDor of meghatravels for Meghalaya .The tour was incredible from day one hour The tour organiser/guide Mr Kordor was amazing he was caring, very knowledgeable and helpful with everything He also found different fun excursions we could do while we were there He answered all mannerly with all our questions and concerns we had Thanks to him who made possible this unforgettable experience tour he handled all situations professionally
From the moment we were picked up from the Airport to the time we said bye, Kordor was an amazing guide and support. He took us to amazing waterfalls, caves and several hidden gems just to see the most beautiful sunsets.
He really went out of his way to accommodate our demands especially taking care of my senior citizen parents and even taking a teenager for Kayaking.

Firstly, Meghalaya in the monsoons is probably the most beautiful sight I've seen! Kordor took us to the most beautiful view points, waterfalls, got us the best food, let us have gallons of amazing chai, took plenty of photos of us, laughed with us, listened to music with us, got in on all th inside jokes, made some jokes himself! The kindest, nicest, and the most gentle friend we made these past few days! Highly recommend taking this trip with Kordor! I'm surely going to take another one!

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Kordor, we felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had 5 great days in Sohra and Shillong, Meghalaya which obviously also added up to the experience.
