Overview

Your journey begins at Gauhati Airport, where you will be welcomed and set off on a beautiful drive through the hills towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya.

Surrounded by pine trees and cool mountain air, Shillong will be your first stop to rest and soak in the atmosphere of the “Scotland of the East.”

The next morning, you travel to Sohra, better known as Cherrapunji, a land of endless waterfalls and misty valleys.

Here you will explore some of nature’s finest wonders like Dympep Valley, Nohkalikai Falls, Garden of Caves, and many more hidden gems. Some waterfalls even offer the chance to take a refreshing swim.

From Sohra, the adventure deepens as you trek to Nongriat, home to the world-famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge.

The trek is about 3,600 steps down into the valley, where you will find yourself surrounded by lush forests, crystal streams, and the enchanting Rainbow Falls. It’s a day filled with nature’s magic before you return to Sohra for the night.

Your journey continues towards Mawlynnong, often referred to as the cleanest village in Asia. Walking through its neat lanes and visiting the old Church of Epiphany gives you a glimpse into the quiet village life.

From there, you travel to Dawki, where the emerald-green Umngot River awaits. The crystal-clear waters make it feel like boats are floating in the air a truly unforgettable experience. By evening, you return to Shillong for your final stay.

On the last day, with your heart full of memories, you drive back from Shillong to Gauhati Airport for your onward journey, carrying the stories of Meghalaya’s waterfalls, living root bridges, and serene villages with you.
